What is a vision board?

A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on life goals. It's a magical process that will help your kids begin to learn and understand that indeed we are responsible for creating our own happiness and creating the life we want!

Kids are so good at tuning into things that matter, their ability to create a vision board that is full of images of their greater dreams and desires will inspire you as parent.

"Vision Boards must be about your deepest dreams of what you want when you listen to your heart. You can't dream about toys or things we buy that only make you happy for a few minutes. You must use your heart to imagine yourself creating a happy life, this is a fun art project to help you think about what your happiest life would look like, what things you would like to achieve. What you want to do, who you want to be, and how you can help others."

A vision board will help to:

  • Identify your vision and give it clarity.

  • Reinforce your daily affirmations.

  • Keep your attention on your intentions.

How to organise a family vision board night..

  1. Get a variety of magazines, including plenty of kid friendly options.

  2. Decide where the boards will be displayed once they are finished then order your little Dinosaur pin board using the simulator. Make sure that each person chooses their own shape and pattern to completely personalize the result.

  3. Talk to your kids ahead of time about the things they might be looking for so they aren't going in blindly.

  4. Explain how the night will work, set expectations and set time limits.

  5. Have a show and tell at the end so they can present their board, talking about why they chose each image.

  6. Put the technology away! Vision boards take concentration, plus, this is an awesome time to just be together without worldly distractions. Try to put all gadgets away like i Phones, i Pads, and game players. The only electronic thing we recommend is your music player.
